The National Youth Development Council (NYDC) Act has undergone significant review, and today, the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts
, and the Ministry of Justice, Zambia provided us with a platform to contribute to the drafting of the NYDC Bill that aims to repeal and replace the NYDC Act No. 7 of 1986, 13 of 1994.
Once repealed and replaced, the NYDC Act, will be responsive to the current needs of the youth in Zambia, clearly state the composition, appointment, function and tenure of office of the NYDC Board Members and provide clear guidance on the registration and coordination of youth organisations in the country.
