
… as 24 girls from 12 public schools in Luanshya District receive training on community service and environmental protection. The training featured Miss Face of Nature Zambia Kate Maria Nawa from Joyce and Friends Foundation
The training sought to compliment efforts that aim at promoting initiatives that create avenues for women and girls to access mentorship opportunities as captioned in the Commemoration of International Women`s Day Cabinet Office Circular No.1 of 2024 CO. 6/7/102 Part 4 (i) Economic Empowerment (ii) Education and Skills Development.
This activity is part of the #VSI Youth Growth Project currently running in Luanshya District. The #VSI Youth Growth project seeks to promote mental health wellness for young women while encouraging community service and volunteerism in secondary schools and communities.


The project is financially supported by the U.S. Embassy Zambia through the Public Affairs Small Grants Program. The Public Affairs Small Grants Program provides financial support from the American people directly to Zambian community organizations committed to improving the lives of community members through sustainable projects that bolster economic development, democracy and governance, health, and education.
