Lusaka, May 22, 2020. VSI has resumed its activities this month with the first one being a visit to Kumbaya Community School in Lusaka’s Chaisa compound. The purpose of this visit was to donate face masks and other personal protective equipment to pupils in examination classes who are set to report back to school on 1st June, 2020″It is not always easy to be charitable sometimes, you’d rather keep your money, your time and your energy to yourself.”- Ms. Catherine Tembo Ms. Tembo, who is the Deputy Director at VSI, expressed profound gratitude to all VSI members whose efforts were directed towards the success of the event. She further extended special gratitude to each and every member of the COVID19 task force, as well as the VSI partnering organizations- Youth & Students for Peace, Victalk Motivation, Zambia Tong-il-Moo-, Do Federation, Youth Bridge Foundation, Uplift Media, Feed a Child Organization and Home of Rescue Foundation. “You all put your safety on the line to ensure that today’s outreach was a success. We are completely dumbfounded by your selflessness.” Ms. Tembo addedIt is worth noting that, VSI continues to receive donations aimed at mitigating the effects of the COVID19 pandemic on the less privileged. “We look forward to our continued partnership with you all as we embrace the new normal.
