Streetism is a word coined to describe homeless children that live on the streets, mainly due to drugs, crime, or delinquency…robbing and depriving them of their childhood.
Streetism is not a secret, it’s not a hidden problem, but it’s out in plain sight of people every day. Programs to help these children are limited and that is one of the reasons why organizations ought to be formed…to help out our communities get to ZERO with streetism.
Every child is valuable in society, and they should grow up and become educated, as most of them would choose to be nurses, some to be teachers, and others to be lawyers…all playing an important role in our community.
Mostly, the children who are found on the streets are victims of SEXUAL AND GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE or, and RAPE.
Sexual and Gender-Based Violence refers to any act, attempt, or threat of a sexual nature that may result, or is likely to result in physical, psychological, and emotion.
