On her visit to Chalilo Village of Chief Chitambo in Serenje district-Central Province, Ms. Malwa interacted with the local people about the importance of Education, Human Rights and Civic duties.
Girls who usually stop school in their seventh Grade were encourage to stay in school to better their future. She also had a discussion with the young mothers about the issues surrounding early marriages, gender based violence and personal/family development.
“They are pretty much thanking VSI for incouraging them to continue with school when all hope was lost. They also thanked my mom and the Chief for awarding them with academic scholarships,” she said.
The Visionary Students Initiative remains committed to supplementing Government’s efforts to improve the lives of the people of this great nation, Zambia.
