As part of the Mental Health Community-Zambia, VSI joined mental health advocates at this year`s mental health conference that was held at Lusaka`s Chainama Hills Lecture Theatre on 19th November, 2022. The meeting was convened under the theme, “Strengthening Mental Health Advocacy in Zambia.”
The conference sought to bring together mental health advocates, health experts and key stakeholders to create a driving force for youth-led mental health advocacy.
The meeting discussed a number of issues not limited to:
1. Mental Health Policy and Regulatory Framework in Zambia
2. Mental Health Policy and Regulatory Framework in Zambia
3. Psychological First Aid
4. What is Mental Health and Why is it Important?
The event was graced by the Ministry of Health`s National Mental Health Coordinator Dr. Francisca Bwala. Other dignitaries included M/S Sarah Kalumbilo, Dr. Clinton Kadochi and the current Miss Zambia Natasha Mapulanga.
