Most health services are found in hospitals, clinics and medical centers run either by the Government or the private sector. Hospitals normally provide emergency, secondary, and tertiary medical services as well as provide primary care and some basic treatment or first aid.
Kanyama Hospital is a Government owned healthcare facility located in Kanyama, Lusaka, Zambia. Its establishment is as a result of Government investment in the health sector. Therefore, its survival depends on the state of the economy of the Government.
Kanyama Level One Hospital faces many challenges in its day to day operations. It is against this background that Team VSI and Partners(YSP, Njovu Zambia, Victalk Motivation) visited the hospital and donated cleaning materials among other things to the patients and the administration through the office of the area Member of Parliament–Hon. Minister of Gender Mrs Elizabeth Phiri-MP Kanyama.
