The Children’s Code-12 Initiative (CC-12) is one of the flagship programs under the Visionary Students Initiative-VSI. The initiative seeks to raise awareness on the importance of promoting and protecting children’s rights in Zambia. The CC-12 gives children an opportunity to take full ownership of their law—Children’s Code Act 12, 2022 for their own benefit and society.
To hit the road running, CC-12 was launched at Kumbaya Community School, in Chaisa, Lusaka on the 27th Day of January 2023. The children were introduced to the contents of the Children’s Code Act 12, 2022. The Breakout Sessions were anchored by VSI Educators, and Namatama Lubinda- The Mental Health Activist.
